Visit the Sugarhouse both Friday & Saturday (August 9&10) from 10am-4pm for a Complete Maple Tour. Complementary guided tours will start on the hour every hour both days. Each tour will walk you through the entire sugaring process-from the Sugar maple tree in the woods to the jug you take home. Samples of our award winning maple products will be provided at the end of each tour along with freshly spun Maple Cotton Candy! The sugarhouse store will be open all day for those looking to take a taste of Vermont home with them.\nImportant Travel Advisory: Bridge Closure. Please put Castleton University into your GPS first\, then once you are there put in our address. This will bring you in from the North to the sugarhouse over Pond Hill Ranch Road. Some GPS’ make try and take you over Watkins Hill Road\, we have been warned they don’t want people going this way-it is not wide enough for two lane traffic. Please stick to Pond Hill. There is construction in Poultney causing a complete bridge closure on Route 140 right before Finel Hollow Road. Therefore\, coming from Castleton (North) or Middletown Springs (East) or the only points of entry. We cannot be reached through East Poultney. We will have all your favorites including maple syrup in glass and jugs\, maple candy\, maple cream\, maple sugar\, maple spices\, maple granola\, pancake mixes\, honey\, syrup pitcher\, and more. We specialize in baking Maple Oatmeal Bread fresh every week just for the market. We will also be set up downtown the first and third Saturdays of July and August\, trying something new!\nFresh\, local vegetables\, jams and jellies\, local artwork\, homemade soaps and handmade jewelry can also be found.\nFourth of July– Since the 4th falls on a Thursday this year\, we will be set up on the green in front of the apartment buildings where they’ve been converting it into a park (next to auto parts store parking lot). We will have the Maple Cotton Candy machine set up\, freshly baked bread\, and possibly maple cookies along with our usual market set up.
